Heckler & Koch's HK416 Pistol scales the AR layout down to .22 LR. The barrel runs 8.5 inches and is threaded 1/2x28, the whole gun measures 26.5 inches and weighs 5.8 pounds, and the metal wears HK Brown Cerakote over a polymer grip. One 20-round magazine comes with it, the bolt locks back on the last round, and the safety lever is mirrored on both sides. A Picatinny rail sits on top with no optic fitted, and the M-LOK handguard accepts lights or hand stops.

In Massachusetts this is a handgun for licensing purposes, so the License to Carry is the document the dealer needs to see, not the FID card. There is no waiting period and no separate purchase permit; the dealer views your LTC in person, runs the federal check and logs the transfer through the state portal. As a rimfire trainer it lets AR shooters practice the same controls and reloads with inexpensive ammunition, and the rail is ready for whichever optic you already run.
