Hammerli's Force B1 is a current-production .22 LR straight-pull bolt-action rifle with a 16-inch threaded barrel and a Picatinny rail on top for optics. This used example, serial HF002873, has a bright bore with excellent rifling, an excellent finish and an excellent synthetic stock; the seller rates it excellent overall.

A straight-pull action is cycled by hand rather than by gas, and the threaded muzzle and top rail make the rifle easy to set up for whatever the shooter has in mind. Rifles may not be used for deer anywhere in the Commonwealth, so in Massachusetts the Force B1 is a plinker and small-bore trainer for the range rather than a hunting purchase, and the rail means the same rifle can wear a scope one weekend and a red dot the next. The synthetic stock shrugs off wet weather and the 16-inch barrel keeps it short in the truck.
